The Advisor, Records and Information Governance plays a key role in coordinating and operationalizing the enterprise-wide records and information governance program. This position supports the development, rollout, and maintenance of policies, standards, processes, and tools that ensure information is accurate, secure, compliant, and usable, while partnering across Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, IT, and business teams.

 

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate day to day execution of the Enterprise Information Governance (EIG) program across structured and unstructured data, ensuring consistent lifecycle controls from creation through defensible disposition.
  • Maintain and update governance artifacts, including retention schedules, data inventories, standards, procedures, and playbooks, and support steering committees and governance forums.
  • Partner with Legal to support eDiscovery readiness, legal hold administration, and defensible disposition, while ensuring privacy by design and security requirements are embedded.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of classification schemes, taxonomies, metadata, data maps, and information governance tools to improve information quality and accessibility.
  • Track program metrics, risks, and issues, and prepare reporting for leadership and audit stakeholders.
  • Assist with records acquisition, transfer, and disposition activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring alignment with retention, legal, privacy, and security requirements.

 

What You'll Bring – Required

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 2 or more years of experience in information governance, records management, or data governance
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, and collaboration or content management tools

 

What Makes You Stand Out – Preferred

  • Professional certifications such as IGP, CRM/CRA, CIP, CIPP, or similar
  • Experience supporting enterprise information governance or records programs
  • Exposure to governance, data catalog, or records management technologies
  • Experience preparing materials for audits or leadership reporting
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects or programs
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with records retention, privacy, and data protection requirements

 

Compensation Range 

This position has a base salary range of $106,200 - $129,800.
