The Technical Product Manager (TPM) for Privacy will own the technical and product execution of the company's privacy program, translating the VP of Privacy's regulatory and governance requirements into concrete product requirements, system architecture, and engineering roadmaps with a primary focus on streaming, subscription, and ad-supported video services. This role is the technical bridge between the Legal/Privacy team and disparate Engineering teams.
Translate privacy, legal, and regulatory requirements into clear technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
Own the cross-brand roadmap for privacy-by-design initiatives across multi-platform platforms, data warehouses, identity systems, and streaming applications.
Partner directly with data engineering, ad tech, and product teams to embed privacy controls into system architecture, data flows, and consent infrastructure.
Drive technical implementation of consent and preference management, cookie/SDK governance, and identity resolution controls across CTV/OTT, mobile, and web.
Develop, own and manage the privacy testing automation suite product across engineering groups, ensuring uniformity across brands, platforms and delivery
Direct OneTrust configuration and integration work from a technical standpoint
Serve as the primary technical point of contact between the Privacy/Legal team and Engineering, removing ambiguity in how policy requirements get built and shipped.
Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery timelines for privacy engineering initiatives.
Run technical reviews of new features and data flows in partnership with the VP of Privacy, flagging architecture-level risks before launch.
Direct OneTrust configuration and integration work from a technical standpoint
Own technical requirements for VPPA-compliant handling of viewing data and subscriber information across SVOD, AVOD, and hybrid models.
Define and build technical solutions for ad targeting, attribution, personalization, and cross-device identity that satisfy state-law opt-out/consent requirements.
Build and maintain technical controls for account hierarchies/households, content recommendations, and churn/retention analytics that meet privacy requirements.
Manage opt-out mechanisms and sensitive-data restrictions within ad-supported streaming (AVOD/FAST) workflows.
Build and maintain technical KPIs/dashboards.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field required.
6+ years in technical product management, with 3+ years working on data privacy, data governance, or trust & safety initiatives ideally in digital media, streaming, or subscription businesses.
Previous engineering or data engineering experience is preferred
Hands-on experience translating legal/regulatory requirements into engineering specs and shipped product.
Expert knowledge of OneTrust or comparable privacy management platforms; comfortable partnering on technical configuration, not just policy administration.
Deep understanding of VPPA and U.S. state privacy laws (CA, CO, VA, etc.) as they apply to targeting, cross-context behavioral advertising, and data architecture.
Experience working with data engineering teams on data mapping, identity systems, and consent infrastructure at scale.
CIPT certification is a plus (not required).
