The Opportunity

This Supervisor, Privacy Ops position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location. This is not a remote role.

This role serves as a subject matter expert for Abbott’s Privacy Operations, leveraging deep expertise in consumer rights, regulatory compliance, and operational processes. It is a full-time position with accountability for meeting compliance timelines, ensuring operational accuracy, and maintaining reporting integrity.

What You’ll Work On

  • Oversee consumer rights processes across regions, ensuring requests are handled accurately and in line with requirements.

  • Support and improve processes for managing and responding to individual data requests.

  • Track incoming requests, identify potential delays, and take action to keep work on schedule.

  • Help manage processes for handling privacy-related issues and concerns.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to address and resolve privacy matters in a timely manner.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in privacy, compliance, or a related field required

  • Strong working knowledge of privacy management tools (e.g., OneTrust), including configuration and day-to-day administration

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain concepts to a range of audiences

  • Experience working with cross-functional partners, including regular interaction with senior stakeholders

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional privacy certification preferred (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, or similar)

  • Experience conducting or supporting incident management investigations, including documentation and follow-through to resolution

  • Working understanding of privacy laws, regulations, and the broader compliance landscape (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)

  • Exposure to or experience applying project management principles, with the ability to track and support multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)

The base pay for this position is $86,700.00 – $173,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
