Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with software development using C++, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in an industry setting.
  • 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical fields.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures, algorithms, system design, or large-scale data processing systems.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies and user-centric developer tools.
  • Experience building and deploying Generative AI applications, agentic workflows, or LLM-based automation tools in production environments.
  • Ability to own full end-to-end technical aspects of projects with attention to detail, working effectively with cross-functional partners (PM, TPM, UX, Legal/Policy) and a keen interest in internet privacy.

We build and maintain high-scale privacy compliance infrastructure that governs Google's Ads data at rest. Our mission is to ensure that every byte of data used across our advertising platforms aligns with evolving global privacy standards, creating a secure foundation for the future of digital advertising.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of distributed privacy infrastructure to manage large-scale data governance tasks.
  • Build and integrate GenAI-driven solutions and agentic frameworks to automate complex compliance workflows for data owners.
  • Manage and optimize production execution pipelines to ensure high availability and performance of privacy-critical systems.
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Technical Program Managers to translate privacy policies into robust technical requirements.
  • Own the full technical project lifecycle, from initial architectural design to deployment and long-term maintenance.
