Qiddiya Investment Company is on the lookout for a dedicated Senior Specialist - Data Governance and Quality to enhance our data management practices. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for establishing and enforcing data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, and fostering data stewardship across the organization. Your expertise will be vital in driving strategic initiatives that harness data as a valuable asset, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure high data quality and integrity across the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data ownership, stewardship roles, and responsibilities, promoting a culture of accountability for data quality.
- Establish key data quality metrics and monitoring processes to assess and report on data quality levels, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with business units to manage data-related issues, providing recommendations and insights to drive data quality improvements.
- Facilitate training and awareness programs to ensure staff understand the importance of data governance and quality management.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data governance and quality, proposing innovative solutions to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Manage and establish robust data lineage and documentation practices to ensure data traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert for data governance and quality initiatives, guiding projects to successful delivery and integration into business processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Technology, Data Protection, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data protection, privacy compliance, or related roles.
- In-depth knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, local data privacy laws) and best practices.
- Experience conducting data protection impact assessments and audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Certifications such as Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar are preferred.
