Your Role
As a Senior Legal Counsel within the Privacy and Data Protection Team, you will assist the Privacy and Data Protection Manager in ensuring compliance with data and privacy regulations in Australia and New Zealand. Your key responsibilities will include providing legal advice on various aspects of privacy and data management laws, reviewing and drafting legal documentation related to privacy and data protection (such as contractual clauses, policies, and notices), conducting complex Data Protection Impact Assessments, addressing privacy complaints, and assessing eligible data privacy breaches and related incidents. Additionally, you will support the Privacy and Data Protection Manager in preparing metrics-based management reports, liaising with regulators, delivering staff training, and implementing updates to the Privacy framework and associated processes.
