Senior Cybersecurity Consultant - MS Cloud Security & Data Protection

Your Mission

You will play a key role in:

• Designing and delivering Microsoft cloud security projects (Azure, M365, Entra)
• Designing and implementing Microsoft Purview data protection solutions
• Performing security audits and security posture assessments
• Supporting pre-sales activities with strong technical credibility
• Delivering high-quality implementations with measurable security impact

This is a technical execution role with architecture responsibility, not a purely advisory or governance-only position.

Key Responsibilities

Microsoft Cloud Security (Azure, M365, Entra)

• Design and implement security architectures across:
  • Azure security (landing zones, Defender for Cloud, network security, workload protection)
  • Microsoft 365 security (Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access)
  • Entra ID (identity protection, access governance, privileged identity management)
• Implement Zero Trust principles across identity, endpoints, applications, and data
• Configure and deploy security controls in production environments
• Translate security best practices into concrete, deployable configurations
• Ensure secure-by-design cloud architectures

Data Protection & Microsoft Purview

• Lead data protection projects using Microsoft Purview:
  • Data discovery & classification
  • Sensitivity labels & information protection
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
  • Insider risk management
• Work on both:
  • Functional design (data classification strategy, governance model, DLP rule definition)
  • Technical implementation (Purview configuration, policy deployment, tuning)
• Translate regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Swiss FADP) into practical technical controls
• Support customers in defining realistic and effective data protection operating models

Security Audits & Assessments

• Perform security posture assessments across:
  • Azure environments
  • Microsoft 365 tenants
  • Entra ID configurations
  • Microsoft Purview deployments
• Conduct configuration reviews against Microsoft security best practices and Zero Trust principles
• Identify gaps, misconfigurations, and risk exposure
• Deliver structured assessment reports with:
  • Risk prioritization
  • Clear remediation actions
  • Technical and strategic recommendations
• Support remediation implementation when required

Project Delivery & Client Interaction

• Lead or contribute to project workstreams within international engagements
• Interact with CISOs, security architects, and IT stakeholders
• Produce high-quality documentation (HLD, LLD, assessment reports, configuration guides)
• Contribute to proposal writing and technical scoping
• Support Microsoft-aligned opportunities and joint engagements

Your Profile

Required Experience

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, with strong Microsoft ecosystem exposure
• Proven hands-on experience implementing:
  • Azure security controls
  • Microsoft 365 security capabilities
  • Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) security features
• Experience with Microsoft Purview (Information Protection / DLP)
• Experience performing technical security assessments or audits
• Ability to move from design to configuration independently
• Experience in consulting or service delivery environments
• MS Cloud & Identity Security
• MS Data Protection

Nice to Have

• Microsoft certifications (SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500)
• Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, public sector)
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks
• Automation skills (PowerShell, Terraform, Azure DevOps)
