AI Vision Processors For Edge Applications

Our solutions make cameras smarter by extracting valuable data from high-resolution video streams.

Job Description

With an installed base of more than 46 million AI SoC units, Ambarella’s products are utilized in a wide variety of physical edge AI applications, spanning edge endpoint and edge infrastructure use cases including physical security, vehicle safety, telematics, autonomy, portable video, aerial drones, and other emerging robotic applications. Building on this footprint, Ambarella offers a full-stack edge AI platform, from highly optimized silicon and programmable software to AI agentic frameworks that coordinate perception, decision-making and control across devices. Ambarella’s low-power systems-on-chip (SoCs) integrate proprietary and highly efficient perception and deep learning neural network AI accelerators, enabling electronic systems to become more productive with partial or complete levels of machine autonomy.  For more information, please visit www.ambarella.com.

About the Role

We are seeking a Program Manager, AI Governance & Initiatives to help scale enterprise AI adoption through strong program execution, technical fluency, and disciplined governance. This role will lead the operational management of company-wide AI initiatives from intake and review through proof-of-concept (POC) tracking, deployment readiness, and stakeholder communication, while also helping strengthen the governance framework for responsible and secure AI adoption across the organization. The current AI initiative program focuses on enterprise use cases such as process automation, design and content generation, information indexing and search, quality improvement, and workflow optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise AI initiatives, including proposal intake, review coordination, POC tracking, final presentation, and deployment recommendation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional governance and review processes to ensure AI initiatives are evaluated consistently, aligned with business priorities, and progressed through a structured approval workflow.
  • Partner with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to track initiative scope, implementation progress, resourcing needs, milestones, risks, and measurable outcomes.
  • Help define and improve repeatable operating mechanisms such as review criteria, status tracking, deployment readiness checklists, and program reporting.
  • Support AI governance activities related to approved tools, external platforms, subscriptions, and deployment controls in partnership with IT and Legal.
  • Contribute to communication, enablement, and best-practice sharing that promote broader adoption of AI across teams and regions.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong program management experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives in fast-moving environments.
  • Working knowledge of modern AI technologies, with enough technical depth to understand solution scope, implementation plans, architecture, data requirements, evaluation criteria, and integration needs.
  • Ability to engage credibly with technical teams on AI solution patterns such as LLM-based workflows, agentic systems, retrieval and document-based knowledge systems, AI-assisted automation, and enterprise integration.
  • Familiarity with AI governance and security considerations, including tool approval controls, data usage boundaries, risk review, and coordination with IT and Legal on external or open-source AI technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear executive updates, structured program documentation, and effective cross-functional communications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting AI governance, digital transformation, PMO, innovation, or portfolio management programs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI deployment considerations such as API-based integrations, knowledge indexing, workflow automation, and technical evaluation metrics.
  • Experience working on programs involving AI security, data governance, or controlled adoption of external platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Comfort working across engineering, IT, and business teams in a matrixed environment.

Key Skills

  • Enterprise AI program execution
  • AI governance and operational process design
  • Stakeholder coordination across technical and business teams
  • Risk identification, issue management, and deployment readiness
  • Executive communication and structured reporting
  • Technical fluency in AI solution architecture and implementation planning

Why This Role Matters

This role sits at the intersection of AI innovation, program execution, and responsible governance. It is ideal for a candidate who can combine strong program management discipline with enough AI and security expertise to help the organization scale AI solutions responsibly, efficiently, and with clear business impact. That aligns directly with the current program’s objective of encouraging and reviewing company-wide AI initiatives that improve productivity and efficiency across departments and regions.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $200,000–$231,000. Final compensation will be based on location, experience, and internal pay equity. We also offer new-hire RSU grants, eligibility for annual RSU grants, and other highly competitive benefits.
