Privacy Specialist

This role is responsible for all compliance or facilitation activities which could include reviewing internal processes, documents and reports, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory framework. Ensuring compliance with general ethical standards related to conflicts-of-interest, confidentiality/privacy, fraud, appropriate use of company assets, interpersonal conduct in the workplace. This role will provide advices on legal compliances issue to the various function heads and ensure that contracts and policies made are in compliance with insurance standards and procedures as well as in accordance with insurance protocols and laws. One of the major responsibility is monitoring of legislation and regulatory policies and practices for legal compliance issues for multiple functions.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Handling of Data Subject Requests (EU GDPR principle: Subject Access Requests, right to be forgotten, etc.),

  • Data Mapping activities,

  • Privacy Breach management,

  • Employee Data Access requests.

  • Follow-up on risk mitigation plans with risk owners,

  • Privacy review of vendors including input to Data Privacy Agreements (DPA), etc.

  • Key success criteria: 3-4 years of experience with working with EU GDPR data privacy framework, diligent, precise, on time. Min 3-4 years of relevant professional experience from international company.

Required education, experience and job-related skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Degree in Law, Business Law, Information Governance or related field preferred

Experience

  • 1–4 years of experience in privacy, compliance, risk, governance or related operational function

  • Experience supporting assessments, documentation or regulatory processes

  • Exposure to GDPR or similar data protection frameworks

Job-Related Skills

  • Strong organizational and process-oriented mindset

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel

  • Structured documentation and reporting skills

  • Basic understanding of privacy principles and regulatory requirements

  • Ability to escalate appropriately

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience with governance or workflow tools (e.g. OneTrust or similar) is a plus

Language Skills

  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) required

Legal background or exposure to contractual privacy clauses is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
