The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Compliance team is expanding and we are looking for a Privacy Compliance engineer located in China to support our Global Compliance strategy. This role requires strong knowledge of privacy regulations and standards, technical curiosity and strong understanding of project and product management cycles.

Description


In this role you will, - Act like the local liaison to collaborate with legal and privacy teams across Apple regarding applicable Privacy laws, regulations and policies - Assess ASE infrastructure and applications against new Privacy laws, regulations and policies - Identify system gaps against local privacy laws, and partner with US headquarters to drive the local implementation of remediation plans. - Translate regulatory requirements in to technical implementation - Provide local regulatory insights to support the development of new Apple policies, and drive the local implementation of the new process. - Coordinate local aspects of internal and external audits to perform risk/impact assessments and help manage/coordinate responses to regulators’ inquiries

Minimum Qualifications


7 years of experience in privacy compliance and/or a privacy engineering role Excellent understanding of PIPL regulations and standards.Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures Experience conducting compliance assessments, audits, and risk assessments Understanding of data lifecycles and database security Demonstrated experience working seamlessly with US/Global headquarters, exciting global strategies within the local market. Professional working or bilingual fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English to communicate with local stakeholders and global

Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor's in compliance, data privacy management, business administration or legal studies Important Data Assessment standards knowledge. Strong organizational management skills Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication and reporting skills Business travel within the APAC region may be required based on project needs.
