Medical Relations / Privacy Officer

Position Summary

Serves as the compliance point of contact for HIPAA Business Associate obligations, third-party information requests, and emergency notification reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and route all third-party requests for information concerning an examination performed under the contract to the District's Disability Claim Examiner for processing.
• Serve as PFS's designated point of contact for HIPAA Business Associate Agreement compliance.
• Receive emergency treatment or safety-related notifications from examiners and ensure the required written report reaches the District within 24 hours.
• Maintain and audit safeguards for claimant information in electronic and hard-copy formats.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare compliance, health information management, or related field.
• Certification in healthcare privacy compliance (e.g., CHPC) preferred.
• Experience administering HIPAA Business Associate compliance programs
