  • Strategic privacy and compliance program (pharma/biotech) development and implementation
  • Board advisory and expert services
  • Privacy, compliance, and corporate policy drafting and globalization
  • Role-based guidance and training
  • Patient support program (PSP) compliance
  • Medical Affairs and Clinical programs (e.g., MSL activities, publications, investigator-sponsored trials)

Responsibilities:

Dovetail is seeking an experienced privacy and data protection consulting Manager (per consulting title convention) to join our dynamic team. In this role, the Manager will serve as a key contributor across both client engagements and internal Dovetail operations, bringing critical thinking and subject matter expertise to a broad range of privacy and data management compliance-related activities.

  • Conduct privacy program gap analyses, privacy impact assessments, and data protection risk assessments
  • Perform internal controls evaluations and privacy-related audits
  • Deliver privacy training sessions and facilitate client stakeholder interviews
  • Provide advisory support on privacy and data protection matters
  • Develop project plans; track and manage budgets, outputs, and deliverables
  • Prepare client presentations, awareness materials, and training resources
  • Draft management reports on privacy and data protection program status

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a privacy function at a life sciences company or consulting firm; Fewer years will be considered for lower levels
  • Proficiency in global privacy principles (purpose limitation, data minimization, notice, consent, individual rights, data transfer, retention/destruction)
  • Working knowledge of privacy program elements: DSARs, vendor privacy risk management, incident management, ROPA, PIAs, and training
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage and mentor others
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities simultaneously
  • Strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to varied audiences in-person and virtually
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Forms, Power BI)
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in a related field or JD strongly preferred
  • Authorized to work in the United States


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing privacy management programs for life sciences organizations
  • Privacy certification from an accredited organization (e.g., IAPP CIPP/US, CIPP/EU, CIPM)
  • OneTrust certification (e.g., Privacy Automation, Consent & Preferences)


Work Requirements

  • Ability to work from a virtual/home office without distraction and maintain responsibility for achieving utilization goals
  • Ability to travel domestically (and internationally, if required) and work in a fast-paced and at deadline-driven environment, balancing multiple projects and managers
  • Attendance at in-person team meetings, on-camera virtual team meetings, and onsite work at client locations
  • Capability to independently arrange and engage in frequent travel across the US (and internationally as needed)


Base Pay Range*

The pay range displayed above is the base pay compensation range that Dovetail Consulting Group, LLC expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, candidate’s prior education and relevant work experience and training, as well as position location and local market demands.  Our pay-for-performance culture also includes participation in an annual incentive bonus plan for this position which is not included in the ‘Base Pay Range’ noted above.
