What we’re looking for

We are looking for a Legal Data Protection Specialist to support the implementation and oversight of data protection compliance and ensure alignment with GDPR and relevant legislation.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the implementation and enforcement of GDPR and other relevant legislation.
  • Inform and advise internal stakeholders on obligations under GDPR and related legal provisions.
  • Coordinate and provide support in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, and Transfer Impact Assessments.
  • Maintain and update Records of Processing Activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist in responding to data subject requests regarding the processing of their personal data and the exercise of their rights under the GDPR;
  • Support the investigation of data breaches, coordinate data breach notifications, and oversee the resolution and remediation of data protection incidents;
  • Raise awareness and deliver internal trainings on data protection compliance;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects related to data governance, data mapping and implementation of manual or automatized processes to ensure compliance with GDPR (including anonymization and/or deletion)
  • Provide periodic reporting on data protection activities, and promptly escalate any significant issues or non-compliance, together with proposed corrective actions;
  • Closely monitor national and European legislative changes, guidelines, opinions, recommendations, sanctions and fines, and advise on their impact on internal processes and flows.

What you need to know/have

  • Bachelor’s degree in law;
  • 4 years of professional experience in legal field connected to the data protection area;
  • Strong knowledge of data protection legislation, regulations, and practices;
  • Knowledge about risk management and basic understanding of processes in the IT and data security area would be a plus;
  • Professional certifications in data protection are a plus (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM);
  • Advanced proficiency in English (writing, speaking);
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, with advanced skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
