For our Life/Health Europe, Latin America & MENA unit, we are seeking a Junior Data Privacy & Contract Specialist (d/f/m) for a permanent position based at our Cologne office, with a start date as soon as possible.

As a Junior Data Privacy & Contract Specialist, you’ll help us ensure that sensitive Life & Health information is handled with integrity, care, and innovation across diverse international markets.

 Your Role

  • You will draft and edit reinsurance contracts and other relevant documents for our clients in the ELM region, ensuring compliance with all legal regulations and standards.
  • You will analyze contract terms that deviate from our standards for possible acceptance and assist the team with other legal matters, working closely with Legal and Compliance.
  • You will communicate and work closely with our offices in Mexico and Spain to ensure smooth and efficient cooperation.
  • You will organize and manage our contract documents to ensure structured, consistent, and easily accessible documentation.
  • You will embed operational data privacy compliance into Life & Health ELM business processes.
  • You will safeguard personal and health data by ensuring secure, consistent, and auditable processing across the entire data lifecycle.
  • You will translate regulatory requirements (GDPR and internal privacy policies) into practical, business‑friendly solutions.
  • You will support our teams by ensuring accurate and compliant creation, maintenance, and governance of reinsurance contract documentation. 

What you bring

  • Successfully completed training as a paralegal or a legal-focused degree (e.g., First State Examination)
  • Ideally, you already have some initial work experience in the life/health (re)insurance and/or data privacy environment.
  • Experience in drafting and structuring contracts or contract terms is an additional plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to represent data privacy requirements in a pragmatic, solution‑oriented way.
  • Excellent command of Spanish, English and fluent French language skills. Additional languages (e.g., German and Portuguese) are an advantage.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Curiosity and motivation to dive deep into privacy‑compliant handling of Life/Health data.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail complete your profile.
