Intern, Data Protection and Assurance

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented undergraduate intern to join our team as a Data Protection and Assurance Intern. In this role, you will assist in performing audit and assurance work. You will gain hands-on experience in accessing privacy and security practices, contributing to our organization’s commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and upkeeping of our certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support compliance efforts by participating in audits, documentation reviews, and process improvement initiatives
• Assist in conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) for new projects or processes
• Collaborate with the privacy team to ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations
• Help maintain audit artefacts, policies, procedures, and records
• Contribute to awareness training and education programs for employees
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in security and privacy
   

Key Requirements:

• Currently enrolled as a diploma or university student
• Strong interest in data protection, privacy, and information security
• Basic understanding of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 27001)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Detail-oriented and able to follow guidelines and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
