Data Protection Solution Architect

TeraSky is looking for a Data Protection Solution Architect to join our team.

This is a unique opportunity for a Delivery or Professional Services Engineer who has mastered the world of implementation and support and is now looking to make transition into the Architectural/Presale world.

In this role, you will manage the technical sales process throughout our sales cycles and across TeraSky’s offering, for local and global customers. 

The role includes conducting consulting engagements with customers to deliver Data Protection solutions, writing technical papers and documentation, Leading the technical discussion during the presale process, conduct demo, PoC’s and more.

We are looking for someone with a growth mentality, a team player who really understands the engine under the hood and is eager to expand into Cloud and Kubernetes and AI environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect data protection solutions across physical, virtual, and cloud environments
• Lead technical discussions during the presales process and assess customer needs
• Develop high-level design (HLD) documents and define scope of work
• Align technical solutions with customer business challenges
• Maintain strong technical expertise in order to deliver product demonstrations
• Understand our vision and priorities as a company
• Grow adoption of our solutions among our customers and partners
• Address technical objections and position competitive differentiation
• Manage your customers together with the account managers and act as a trusted technical advisor while leveraging subject matter experts required during the sales process

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Delivery Engineer, Solution Architect, System Engineer or similar focusing on Data Protection / Backup
• Previous experience with at least two data protection solutions. Experience with Commvault/ Rubrik/ Veeam / Dell PowerProtect / or Cohesity is an advantage
• Previous experience in design, implementation, and support of leading data protection systems 
• Ability to write high-level solution documents and scope of work documents
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to various stakeholders
• Previous experience with customer-facing roles, presenting at webinars or tech conferences -  an advantage.
• A positive and "can-do" attitude and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders is a must
