We help leading organisations build, deploy and scale AI solutions responsibly and effectively.

We are looking for a DPO with a strong interest in data privacy and AI regulation. This person should be able to combine the DPO & regulatory function with assisting on commercial contracting.

YOUR IMPACT

Data, Privacy and AI (60%)

  • Take up the DPO role and drive ML6’s privacy program (policies, awareness, privacy by design), ensuring ML6’s privacy program is effective, pragmatic, and business-aligned.

  • Guide DPIAs, data subject requests, incident response and vendor assessments in a pragmatic, business-aligned way.

  • Advise on data, AI and IP implications of AI projects and support internal compliance initiatives.

  • Monitor and translate legal/regulatory developments (incl. GDPR and EU AI Act) into practical, pragmatic guidance, controls and training.

  • Support internal risk management and compliance processes with clear, actionable recommendation.

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to teams across ML6 and help the business make well-informed decisions on these regulatory matters.

Commercial contracting (40%)

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial (tech) agreements with customers, prospects and partners (e.g., MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, subcontracting terms).

  • Support Sales and Engineering teams in contract scoping, risk trade-offs and negotiations to enable a smooth sales and delivery cycle. Own and maintain practical contract templates and playbooks (incl. fallback positions) and educate colleagues on legal topics.

  • For commercial contracting, you will work alongside our Lead Legal Counsel.

WHY YOU

  • Master’s degree in Law. Additional training in privacy/data protection, AI, or commercial law is a plus.

  • 2–5 years of experience in a law firm and/or an in-house legal role; experience in tech/AI-driven environments is a plus.

  • Excellent understanding of GDPR and practical experience with privacy topics (e.g., DPO support, DPIAs, vendor reviews, DPAs).

  • Profound understanding of the EU AI Act and international AI initiatives.

  • Experience drafting and negotiating commercial (tech) agreements.

  • You are pragmatic and have a “can do” mentality.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Dutch is a strong plus.

  • You work well independently, take ownership, and enjoy collaborating with a variety of stakeholders.
