About your role :
As Compliance Manager your role is to identify, report and manage regulatory risks and thus protect FFB from any risk of being non-compliant. You will pro-actively support the specific business areas with regards to questions how to comply with the relevant regulation.
Furthermore, you will support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) on the execution of the dedicated DPO control plan to ensure that the company adhere to GDPR / BDSG.
As Data Protection Governance Support Manager you are accountable and responsible for:
Conducting Compliance Monitoring in the business areas of FIL Fondsbank GmbH, in line with the Annual Compliance Monitoring Plan and according to the procedures and policies from the Data Protection Officer
Supporting the DPO function e.g. conducting monitoring and perform controls as defined at the DPO control plan and further activities like drafting new policies and procedures
Supporting the business areas by answering questions and solving problems in relation to legal and regulatory requirements
Interacting with other 2nd Line of Defense and Oversight functions such as Risk Management, Third Party Risk Management, Information Security
Building robust relationships and processes as well as procedures with the Business, Legal, Procurement, Technology and Operations
Supporting efficient procedures with Business (Operations and Technology) and assist to continuously improve controls
Assisting in external audits
About you :
You are a suitable candidate for the role if you have/are:
A University degree in Economics / Law or a comparable field of studies
At least 2-3 year experience in Compliance or regulatory services. You gained this experience either in the financial industry or in an audit/consultancy firm
Understanding and experience of the German and European regulation applicable in the financial industry (WpHG, KWG, MaComp, MaRisk, BAIT, MiFID II, GDPR, BDSG etc.)
A pro-active team player with the ability to work independently
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Fluent in German and Business English
