We are seeking a Data Privacy Manager to join the Data and Analytics team on a 1 year Secondment.

The Opportunity

This role sits within Data and Analytics in the UK Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) where data risk and control management, the data platform strategy and advanced analytics solutions come together.

As Data Privacy Manager you’ll support effective privacy operations across the UK Business, helping to identify and reduce privacy risk while strengthening controls, awareness and stakeholder engagement. You’ll provide data privacy and data protection expertise to teams across the business and support compliance with Global Data Management Policies and relevant privacy regulations.

Success looks like clearer privacy governance in day-to-day operations, timely identification and mitigation of privacy issues and practical improvements to controls and processes. This is a hands-on role with a clear line of sight to customer trust and the way the UK Business uses and protects data.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide subject matter expertise on data privacy and data protection requirements to stakeholders
  • Support the application of mandatory data controls and communicate data risk policies clearly across the business
  • Oversee DataVisa-related activities to help ensure accurate case input and effective user adoption
  • Identify data privacy risks, issues and control gaps and support timely mitigation actions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of privacy controls aligned to global business requirements
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, conduct gap analysis and support remediation activity
  • Promote awareness of United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and other evolving privacy requirements across the UK Business
  • Develop training and educational materials and support effective stakeholder collaboration

What we're looking for

  • Working knowledge of data privacy and data protection requirements, including UK GDPR and PECR, with the ability to apply regulatory expectations to operational risks, controls and business processes.
  • Experience identifying, assessing and prioritising privacy or data-related risks, recognising control gaps and contributing to proportionate remediation and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to constructively challenge existing approaches and produce well-evidenced recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across senior, business and cross-functional stakeholder groups to drive outcomes.
  • Ability to translate complex privacy, regulatory or technical requirements into clear, practical business actions and communicate them effectively to non-specialist audiences.
  • Experience supporting change and delivery activity, including coordinating and embedding sustainable improvements to processes, controls or working practices while managing priorities accurately under pressure.
