Data Privacy Manager

The role..

We’re looking for a Data Privacy Compliance Manager to join the team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover). Reporting to the Global Data Privacy Programme Manager, you’ll play a key role in the operational delivery of ITV’s data privacy programme.

This is a hands-on role focused on ensuring data privacy processes run effectively day to day, while also supporting continuous improvement and strategic initiatives. You’ll work across the business to manage data subject requests and data protection complaints, maintain compliance processes, assist with handling data privacy incidents, support reporting and help embed strong data privacy practices across ITV.

Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing end-to-end data subject requests and data protection complaints, ensuring timely and accurate responses
• Maintaining and improving data privacy systems and tools (e.g. Sightline)
• Producing and delivering data privacy reporting for senior stakeholders and governance forums
• Monitoring and managing data privacy inboxes and responding to queries
• Supporting compliance monitoring, testing and audit activities
• Recording and supporting the management of data breaches and associated actions
• Maintaining and updating RoPAs in collaboration with various business units
• Collaborating with teams across ITV to support data mapping and privacy initiatives
• Contributing to training, communications and continuous improvement of data privacy processes 

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

• Proven experience managing or delivering compliance or operational privacy programmes
• Strong understanding of data protection legislation and principles
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
