Privacy Counseling and Data Transactions Associate (Class of 2022–2023) | Washington, DC

Discreet opening with our AmLaw 100 client for a mid-level privacy associate handling counseling and transactional privacy work for tech, life sciences, and emerging tech companies, including AI-heavy businesses.

Role Summary
• Counsel on U.S. privacy and AI laws (FTC Act, COPPA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA and state analogs, BIPA, WMHMDA, and evolving AI rules)
• Draft and negotiate privacy and data governance agreements, DPAs, and technology transactions
• Lead privacy diligence and negotiate privacy terms in PE investments, M&A, and other corporate transactions
• Plus-factor: regulatory inquiries, investigations, or enforcement-adjacent experience

Candidate Profile
• JD 2022–2023 with strong privacy counseling reps and real drafting mileage
• Confidence owning workstreams and advising business stakeholders
• Bar admission (or ability to obtain promptly) and deal sheet required
