Our AmLaw 100 client is hiring a senior associate to join its Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity team, focused on privacy and cyber issues that sit inside high-value corporate and technology deals. The practice is Chambers-recognized in privacy and data security and works closely with market-leading corporate and tech transactions teams.
M&A (buy-side and sell-side), including diligence, risk allocation, and data-as-an-asset issues
Public offerings and capital markets matters where privacy and cyber diligence are front and center
Commercial and strategic technology transactions, including product, platform, and data-sharing arrangements
Work for companies in AI/ML, cloud, software, and fintech, among other tech-forward sectors
5+ years of relevant experience in: M&A, capital markets, technology transactions, o transactional work (privacy/cyber angle required)
Comfort drafting and negotiating deal terms tied to data rights, security obligations, incident history, and regulatory exposure
Experience with tech industry clients and regulatory policy/enforcement exposure is valued.
CIPP certification is a plus.
JD from an ABA-accredited law school; excellent writing skills; top business judgment.
True deal-side privacy/cyber: you will be embedded in major transactions, not siloed.

Compensation: $260,000 - $365,000 base (based on class year) plus discretionary merit bonus.
