POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer (“CCPO”) provides strategic and operational leadership for the Mount Nittany Health System’s compliance and privacy programs. The CCPO serves as the health system’s designated Corporate Compliance Officer and Privacy Officer.
The CCPO serves as a champion for a system-wide culture of compliance and provides effective leadership and guidance to the Board of Directors and senior management team. The CCPO directs the independent and objective review, promotion and evaluation of compliance/privacy issues and concerns within the health system.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related area.
2. Law, business or related advanced degree, preferred.
Experience:
1. Five years of corporate compliance, risk management, legal, human resources, or other equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
1. Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and local third party carrier regulations.
2. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., Department of Health, The Joint Commission, and Medicare Conditions of Participation).
3. Working knowledge of laws and issues affecting the health care industry, including consequences of non-compliance.
4. Exhibits in-depth knowledge and understanding of the ethical principles and legal obligations related to health care operations.
5. Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
6. Highly motivated and self-directed; works effectively under pressure.
7. Proactively identifies issues and effectively problem solves.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; communicates effectively with peers, staff, legal counsel and physicians.
9. Builds and maintains strong collaborative working relationships across the system and with key federal and state regulators.
10. Conducts business in a professional and cordial manner that upholds the integrity and reputation of Mount Nittany Medical Health System.
11. Knowledge of human resource laws and regulations as they relate to the management of staff.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Receives minimal supervision from the Chief Legal Officer, President/CEO and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
SUPERVISION GIVEN
Supervises the activities of the Corporate Compliance staff, if applicable.
