The Assistant Privacy Manager supports the Group Chief Privacy Officer, Deputy Privacy Officer, and senior members of the Privacy Function in delivering global data protection compliance across all Paysafe entities.

You will contribute to embedding Paysafe’s Privacy Standards, assist in operational privacy tasks, and develop practical experience across a broad range of privacy topics including GDPR, incident handling, DPIAs, training, data subject rights, and cross‑border data transfers.

This role is ideal for someone eager to grow into a full privacy manager position through hands‑on work, exposure to international teams, and continuous learning.

 

 

What to expect:

Working under guidance from senior privacy colleagues, you will:

 

Privacy Operations

  • Support in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
  • Assist with privacy reviews for new systems, features, or processes
  • Help assess cross border data transfers and appropriate safeguards

 

Incident Management

  • Support the investigation and documentation of potential data protection incidents
  • Assist with breach assessments and coordination with relevant teams

 

Data Subject Rights (DSRs)

  • Help respond to data subject queries and support the Compliance team with Subject Access Requests
  • Maintain logs and track follow‑up actions

 

Governance & Documentation

  • Assist in implementing the global Data Protection Policy and related Privacy Standards
  • Help maintain documentation, registers, guidance materials, and internal privacy resources
  • Contribute to preparing regular privacy reports and dashboards

 

Training & Awareness

  • Support delivery of privacy training sessions, workshops, and general staff awareness activities
  • Promote privacy best practices across the organisation and assist the Privacy Champions network

 

Contract & Commercial Support

  • Review basic data protection clauses in supplier and customer contracts, escalating complex matters to senior colleagues
  • Help maintain standard templates and guidance materials

 

Monitoring & Assurance

  • Assist with compliance monitoring activities and liaise with Internal Audit as needed
  • Track remediation actions and follow‑ups

 

Project Support

  • Act as a privacy point of contact for allocated projects under supervision
  • Support product, marketing, technology, and operational teams with day‑to‑day privacy queries

 

 

To be successful you need to have:

  • Around 2 years’ hands‑on experience in privacy, data protection, compliance, legal, risk, or a related field
  • A solid understanding of GDPR principles and practical application
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain privacy concepts in a clear and friendly way
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different teams and countries
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines
  • Positive mindset and strong personal qualities—supportive, open, honest, motivated, and eager to learn
  • A pragmatic, risk‑based approach and willingness to find workable solutions
  • Interest in technology, systems, and how data flows within a business
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or regulated industries is helpful but not essential
